Asia Fibonacci Strategy (Free TradingView Indicator)

A free TradingView indicator that profiles the Asia session range and projects Fibonacci zones so you can systematically exploit overnight liquidity instead of guessing where price will react.

  • Automatically profiles Asia session to build precise high-low liquidity band
  • Projects directionally-aligned Fibonacci retracements (down for longs, up for shorts)
  • Requires Asia range sweep + FVG invalidation before triggering signals

Who it's for:

  • Traders who want to systematically exploit overnight Asia session liquidity
  • Those who use Fibonacci retracements but want objective zone placement

Not ideal for:

  • Traders who only trade NY session (this focuses on Asia session range)
  • Those who want frequent signals (strict playbook = fewer but higher quality setups)
Asia Fibonacci Strategy showing Asia session range and Fibonacci retracement zones

What you get on the chart

  • Asia session range: High and low of overnight Asia session (liquidity band)
  • Fibonacci zones: Directionally-aligned retracements (down for longs, up for shorts—never mirrored)
  • Entry corridors: Forward-projected price zones that activate after Asia range sweep
  • FVG highlights: Most recent opposing Fair Value Gap with invalidation zones
  • Signal markers: "Double-circle" text markers showing setup origin and liquidity context
  • Swing structure: Background model that defines dominant leg for Fibonacci projection

How to use it

Best timeframes

Works best on 15m, 1h, and 4h charts. The Asia session range is profiled automatically, and Fibonacci zones project onto your chart timeframe.

Best markets

Optimized for ES, NQ, CL, GC, and YM futures. Works on any liquid futures contract with a clear Asia session (overnight range).

Default workflow

  1. Wait for Asia session to complete - indicator profiles the high-low range automatically
  2. Watch for price to sweep the Asia range (high or low)—this is the liquidity event
  3. Wait for price to retrace into Fibonacci zone (respecting the dominant leg direction)
  4. Confirm opposing FVG invalidation (long setups require bearish FVG invalidation, vice versa)
  5. Enter on signal marker when all conditions align (strict playbook = fewer but higher quality)

Common mistakes

  • Entering before Asia range sweep (every setup must start from objective liquidity event)
  • Ignoring FVG invalidation requirement (this is the final confirmation step—don't skip it)
  • Trading against the dominant leg (Fibonacci zones are directionally-aligned—respect the structure)
  • Expecting signals every day (strict playbook means fewer setups, but higher quality)

Settings guide

Asia session time

Define Asia session hours for range profiling. Default: 6:00 PM - 9:30 AM ET (overnight). Adjust for different session definitions.

Fibonacci levels

Which Fib levels to display (23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 78.6%). Customize based on your trading style. Default: All standard levels.

Sweep threshold

How far price must move beyond Asia range to "sweep" it. Lower = more sweeps, higher = only major liquidity events. Default: 2 ticks.

FVG invalidation requirement

Enable/disable FVG invalidation as final confirmation. Enabled = stricter (higher quality), disabled = more signals. Default: Enabled.

Entry corridor width

How wide the entry zones are around Fibonacci levels. Tighter = more precise, wider = more room for entry. Default: Medium.

Examples

Example: Asia range sweep + Fib retracement

Example showing Asia range sweep followed by Fibonacci retracement entry

Asia session forms range (high/low). Price sweeps the high (liquidity event). Price retraces into 61.8% Fibonacci zone (respecting dominant leg). Opposing FVG invalidates. Long signal triggers. All conditions align—high-probability setup.

Example: Directionally-aligned Fibonacci zones

Example showing directionally-aligned Fibonacci zones (not mirrored)

Dominant leg is bullish (swing structure). Fibonacci zones extend down (for long entries). Zones are NOT mirrored—they respect the structure direction. This prevents visual confusion and ensures premium/discount zones are correctly identified.

Limitations / what it's NOT

When it works: Clear Asia session range formation, when price sweeps range cleanly, when Fibonacci zones align with structure, when FVG invalidation confirms setup.

When it fails: Choppy/range-bound Asia session (no clear range), when range is too tight (no room for sweep), during low liquidity (holidays), when structure conflicts (multiple timeframes showing different legs).

What it doesn't claim: No "guaranteed reversals" or "100% win rate." This is a strict, rule-driven framework—you still need risk management and discipline. It doesn't execute trades automatically.

Repainting: Asia session range profiling uses session data and is non-repainting (once session completes, range stays fixed). Fibonacci zones and entry corridors update as structure evolves—this is intentional for live trade management.

Why we built this

Most traders mark the Asia range manually and guess where price will react. Asia Fibonacci Strategy solves this by requiring every setup to start from an objective liquidity event (range sweep), then using Fibonacci zones that respect the dominant leg structure—never mirrored or visually inverted.

The FVG invalidation requirement adds a final confirmation step that most Fibonacci tools ignore. This strict playbook means fewer signals, but higher quality setups.

Best paired with: TX Price Action (for structure context) or FuturesOne (for complete trading system).

FAQ

What makes Asia Fibonacci Strategy different from other Fibonacci tools?

It systematically exploits the overnight Asia range with a strict, rule-driven framework. Every setup must start from a clean sweep of the Asia range, then respect the dominant leg structure and touch the correct Fibonacci zone before triggering. The FVG invalidation requirement adds a final confirmation step.

How can I use this indicator with my trading strategy?

Wait for Asia session to complete and range to form. Watch for price to sweep the range (liquidity event). Wait for retracement into Fibonacci zone (respecting dominant leg). Confirm FVG invalidation. Enter on signal marker when all conditions align. The strict playbook means fewer signals but higher quality.

Does the indicator repaint?

Asia session range profiling uses session data and is non-repainting—once the session completes, the range stays fixed. Fibonacci zones and entry corridors update as structure evolves (this is intentional for live trade management).
